To Think of Time
For Mezzo-Soprano and Piano
Based off of a poem by Walt Whitman, To Think of Time is an introspective and thought-provoking work involving a recurring piano motive that imitates the ticking of a clock which gets transformed throughout the work. The ticking of the clock eventually becomes derailed as the singer ponders if any of us are real, leading into one final moment of reflection.
Performance by Gabrielle McCormack and Stephen Scarlato.
