Waffle is the nickname I have given to my Siberia Husky, Nikko. The piece paints an aural picture of what it might be like to be him. He has many moments that are just him steadily walking or running while exploring our background or the neighborhood. Nikko also has other moments where he is placidly sleeping, and yet others where he runs around all excited maybe because he saw a squirrel or something. His various moods and actions are intertwined in this piece of music. Steady chromatic-ish runs represent his exploring through different areas, then the middle section portrays Nikko’s sleepiness, and lastly...his energetic and jumpy moods finish off the piece.
